DEWDROPS earrings

These earrings are like the morning dew that has settled on the grass and shimmers as the sun begins to catch the light from every drop of water.

Long, delicate strands made of 14k gold filled chain feature tiny hand-wrapped teardrop moonstones that cascade down the chain. Like real wisps, they are extremely lightweight with smooth movement.

The pictured earrings are 6 inches long and complete with hand forged ear hooks.

In Gemmology and Geology, Moonstone is part of the Feldspar group. Ultra-thin layers of the mineral Adularia created its iridescent sheen. It is said that the ancient Romans believed that moonlight was captured in rock and was named after the way moonlight dances on water. When you turn the stone and it catches the light, flashes of rainbow colors appear.

GOLD FILLED is a solid layer of 14k gold mechanically bonded to a jeweller's brass base. The gold layer consists of at least 1/20th of the total weight of the jewelry, which is 100 times more than gold-plated jewelry. Gold filled has long term durability and can be cleaned with a jewelry cloth or warm soapy water.
